A BLOG?! In 2024? That seems ludicrous...does anyone actually READ anymore? In the era of a five-second attention span and masters of the scroll, a blog seems like something from days gone by.
And yet here I am. Starting a blog.
And what will this blog be about?
Speech Language Pathology in the Skilled Nursing Facility.
Catchy, right? That's a pretty narrow niche but hence, the blog. Algorithms probably are not going to push content that appeals to such a small audience. Blogs are findable though. They remain and their information is stable regardless of the social media trends.
I plan for this to be a place where I share ideas, give support, and generally explore the world of SNF SLP while I'm living it in my 9-5.
I haven't always been a SNF girl. I started in the schools, switched to home health, and landed here about two years ago. The SNF is a big learning curve and I want to provide the type of support I would have like to had when I made the jump.
Hopefully, this does that for a few of you.
